Noh Hong-chul recently looked back on his time living in the Apgujeong Hyundai Apartments.
On May 15, a video titled “Noh Hong-chul Surprised by the Realistic Monthly Rent Life of Today’s Youth” was uploaded to the ‘Noh Hong-chul’ channel.
During the video, Noh Hong-chul recalled his time in Apgujeong, saying, “The apartment was old, so I used the money I earned from working hard to basically rebuild it. I did a complete interior renovation.”
However, he admitted he rarely stayed at home. “The house was so old and located right by the Han River, so the drafts were terrible. It was so cold in the winter that I actually slept at lodging facilities,” he revealed.
He went on to explain a strange situation: “It was a central heating system, so everyone would have struggled with the cold. But some contractor developed a machine that, once installed, would ‘steal’ heating from other units. The heating and water pressure meant for the neighbors would be diverted to your own home.” The PD agreed, noting that such conflicts were common in older apartments.
Noh Hong-chul added, “Since I’m a celebrity, I didn’t install one just in case. But it turned out everyone else had. When I asked if they weren’t cold, they would whisper, ‘I’ll only tell you this, Mr. Noh Hong-chul.'” He expressed his frustration, saying, “I would have understood if I paid less, but I paid more than anyone else and completely renovated the place!”
