Noh Hong-chul recently looked back on the shocking moment he was attacked by a stranger.
On May 15, a video titled “Noh Hong-chul Surprised by Today’s Youth’s Realistic Monthly Rent Life” was uploaded to the ‘Noh Hong-chul’ channel.
During the video, Noh Hong-chul mentioned being attacked by a stranger while living in an apartment in Apgujeong. The production team noted, “It was truly terrible. You mentioned he was smiling while asking if you were okay?”
To this, Noh Hong-chul explained, “I thought that because there was no reason for me to be hit. At the time, I didn’t realize he was mentally ill and thought there was some kind of misunderstanding. He really beat me as if he wanted to kill me. It even made the 9 o’clock news.”
He added, “Once the police arrived, things calmed down. People around me urged me to move for my safety and suggested a place with tighter security. However, I worked hard and ended up just moving to a larger unit within the same apartment complex.”
Back in 2008, Noh Hong-chul was hospitalized after being assaulted by a man in his 20s who had been lying in wait near his home as he returned to his apartment. He suffered injuries that required five weeks of recovery, including a torn ear and fractured ribs.
