OH MY GIRL’s Hyojung is heating up the excitement for her solo comeback with a visual sampler that feels just like a coming-of-age drama!

Her first digital single, ‘Purple Note,’ which promises to offer comfort with a refreshing early summer vibe, will be released on May 21 at 6 PM across all online music platforms. Ahead of the release, Hyojung shared visual samplers 1 and 2 for ‘Purple Note’ via OH MY GIRL’s official SNS channels on May 14 and 15.

Split into two parts, the videos cross-cut between ‘Choi Hyojung’ as a high school student passionately pursuing her dream of becoming a singer and the ‘Hyojung’ of OH MY GIRL who has finally achieved that dream. This touching youth narrative, which feels like a condensed version of Hyojung’s actual life story, is completely capturing fans’ hearts.

Adding a special touch, the album title ‘Purple Note’ is reportedly inspired by the name of the band Hyojung was part of during her high school years. By reflecting on her days of running tirelessly toward her dreams, she plans to send a message of comfort and support to today’s youth.

Along with the visual content, snippets of the new songs have also caught listeners’ ears. Sampler 1 features the refreshing and heart-fluttering band sound of the title track ‘To My Little Youth,’ while Sampler 2 showcases the warm and calm acoustic melody of the B-side track ‘Look Around,’ raising expectations for the full versions.
