Entertainer Noh Hong Chul revealed that a single comment from Yoo Jae Suk, his colleague at the time, became the turning point that changed his mind when he was considering leaving the entertainment industry.

Recalling his experiences, he mentioned how his parents always told him, “You have to meet the right friends,” and connected this to his life in broadcasting.
He admitted that he once thought about quitting during the early stages of his career. He caught attention by explaining, “I came to experience it and then tried to quit, but Jae Suk hyung told me not to.”
At the time, he appeared on talk shows sharing his real-life stories, but since he was only in his 20s, he felt he had already run out of material to talk about.
However, Yoo Jae Suk stopped him, saying, “I think you have talent.” He further advised, “Even if you don’t feel that way, the synergy created by the people you meet can shine as a talent in itself.”
After hearing those words, Noh Hong Chul changed his mind. He started by thinking, “Let’s just do it for one more month,” which then turned into “Let’s try for one more year.” He laughed, adding, “Before I knew it, I’ve been broadcasting for over 20 years.”
He also shared his perspective on fairness, saying, “I always think the world is fair in that what one person lacks, another has, or when people who lack things gather together, they can create a bigger impact than someone who has everything.”
