NMIXX’s Haewon perfectly remembered the moment she appeared as a “problem” on ‘Amazing Saturday’!
The May 16 episode of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday’ featured Shin Dong-yup, Taeyeon, P.O, Hanhae, Moon Se-yoon, Kim Dong-hyun, Nucksal, and Young K.
Special guests NMIXX’s Haewon and Bae, along with LE SSERAFIM’s Chaewon and Kazuha, joined the show. Haewon and Bae introduced themselves by saying, “If there’s a Romeo and Juliet in novels, the modern version is Choi Yang-rak and Pang Hyun-sook,” while Chaewon and Kazuha introduced themselves as “Shin-chan and Shiro.”
Bae jokingly called Haewon “Juliet’s fantasy partner” while touching her chin. Boom suggested they “tone it down a bit,” to which Haewon lamented, “I feel like I’m going crazy. Even at the salon, they were calling me ‘Juliet’!” Meanwhile, Bae remained blissfully happy, laughing about how excited she was to wear her outfit.
While promoting their new song ‘Boom Pala’, Chaewon confessed, “I kept thinking of Boom sunbaenim because the lyrics are almost entirely ‘Boom Pala’.” Boom confidently replied, “As I’ve said before, if ‘Boom’ is in the lyrics, it becomes a hit!” He even remembered the challenge dance he filmed with LE SSERAFIM, though he hilariously forgot the actual song title.
Making her first official appearance on ‘Amazing Saturday’, Haewon mentioned, “You might feel like I’ve appeared a lot, but I’ve actually just been the subject of several game problems.” When P.O asked, “Weren’t you in the baby photo guessing game?” Haewon was deeply touched, admitting she “bragged about it everywhere” because he recognized her. She vividly recalled the moment, saying, “EXO’s Suho sunbaenim guessed it, P.O sunbaenim said ‘visual check’, and Hanhae sunbaenim gave a great reaction.” Boom teased that she must keep re-watching the clips of herself.
Bae shared that she received some tips from NMIXX’s Lily, who had previously appeared on the show. Lily reportedly told her, “Just go and have fun, you don’t need to be nervous. The atmosphere is really comfortable, and the food is the real deal.”
The guests then split into the “Mix Team” (led by Haewon and Bae) and the “Raphim Team” (led by Chaewon and Kazuha) for the appetizer game. In the “Six Hearts as One” karaoke quiz, the first song was Can’s “Spring Day of My Life.” Although Kazuha from the Raphim Team couldn’t guess it, the Mix Team also failed, giving the first point to the Raphim Team. When the second problem appeared, Haewon answered immediately, jumping up to dance before finally nailing the correct answer on her second attempt.
