Kim Chaewon promoted LE SSERAFIM’s new song by playing on Boom’s name!
On the May 16 broadcast of tvN’s ‘Amazing Saturday’, NMIXX (Haewon, Bae) and LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Kazuha) made an appearance.
Kim Chaewon introduced LE SSERAFIM’s new song, the title track of their second studio album ‘Boompala’, explaining that it samples ‘Macarena’ and that the influence is also reflected in the choreography. When Taeyeon joked about the title, saying “Boompala, sell the Boom,” Kim Chaewon jokingly replied, “I kept wanting to see Boom sunbaenim. The lyrics are almost entirely ‘Boompala’,” bringing laughter to the set.
Boom claimed, “I’ve said it myself, but if ‘Boom’ is in the lyrics, it’s guaranteed to be a hit.” Taeyeon agreed, mentioning LE SSERAFIM’s hit song ‘Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife’, where ‘Boom’ is repeated in the lyrics.
When Kim Chaewon mentioned that Boom had filmed a challenge with them, Boom remembered the dance and performed it, but he completely forgot the song’s title. He mistakenly called it “My Heart is Beating” (using a lyric as the title), which drew some playful complaints. However, Kim Chaewon continued to joke that since the new song contains ‘Boom’, it’s destined to be a hit, once again using Boom’s name for a laugh.
