‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’ sparked laughter with Cho Young-nam’s mention of Youn Yuh-jung and Nam Jin’s blunt reaction.
The May 16 broadcast of MBN’s variety show ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’ featured a second part of its 700th episode special, with Nam Jin, Cho Young-nam, and Seol Woon-do sharing honest stories.
The cast talked about stars who dominated the movie and music industries in the past. Nam Jin picked Nam Jung-im as the most memorable actress he worked with, recalling that she had a “cool personality and was the type of woman men would love.”
Listening in, Cho Young-nam also shared his movie experience. He recalled filming ‘Only Once in My Life’ with Nam Jung-im, jokingly adding that she even carried a toothbrush because there were kiss scenes, which left the set in stitches.
The MCs then asked who was the most beautiful among the legendary ‘Troika’ of the time: Nam Jung-im, Moon Hee, and Yoon Jeong-hee. Cho Young-nam replied, “I couldn’t even think about that because Youn Yuh-jung was by my side,” referring to his ex-wife.
Nam Jin immediately fired back, “Then why didn’t you live [with her] longer?” causing everyone to burst into laughter, including Cho Young-nam.
Meanwhile, Cho Young-nam married actress Youn Yuh-jung in 1974 but divorced in 1987. He later remarried a woman 18 years his junior in 1995, but that marriage also ended in divorce.
