Jun Hyun-moo, the MC of ‘Boss in the Mirror’, is sharing his thoughts on taking on the challenge of broadcasting the North and Central America World Cup. In the process, Park Myung-soo creates a hilarious moment by joking as if he is eyeing Jun Hyun-moo’s spot.
In the episode of KBS2 ‘Boss in the Mirror’ airing on the 17th, Jun Hyun-moo will be revealed as a new member of the KBS North and Central America World Cup broadcasting team. Known and loved for his ‘Trend-sensitive Man’ persona, Jun Hyun-moo is now venturing into a new challenge as a World Cup commentator.
Previously, Jun Hyun-moo made headlines for his weightlifting commentary during the 2024 Paris Olympics. He drew significant attention with his sincere approach to weightlifting, a sport often considered unpopular, and the match he commented on actually recorded the highest viewership among the three major terrestrial broadcasters.
Now, he is tackling football! Jun Hyun-moo stated, “I’m stepping into World Cup football broadcasting for the first time in my life to enjoy football with many citizens.” It is reported that he accepted the offer specifically to help his KBS announcer junior, Nam Hyun-jong.

To prepare, Jun Hyun-moo visited a K League stadium to learn broadcasting know-how from Nam Hyun-jong and commentator Lee Young-pyo. He expressed his determination, saying, “This is my first World Cup broadcast ever,” and “I’ll add a spoonful of variety show flavor to the football commentary.”
He also raised expectations by mentioning, “Lee Young-pyo and I are both born in ’77, the year of the Snake,” and asked fans to look forward to the “Snake chemistry.” Jun Hyun-moo highlighted his synergy with Lee Young-pyo and the passion of 32-year-old Nam Hyun-jong, the youngest World Cup commentator ever, as key points to watch. Upon hearing the news, Park Myung-soo caused laughter by reacting as if he wanted the MC spot, telling him, “Hyun-moo, don’t worry about this place.”
‘Boss in the Mirror’ airs every Sunday at 4:40 PM.
