Lee Sang-min gave high praise to the new song by the group I.O.I.
On the May 16 episode of the JTBC variety show ‘Knowing Bros’, Lee Sang-min showed great chemistry with I.O.I, who visited the show to celebrate their 10th debut anniversary.
During the broadcast, Lee Sang-min caught everyone’s attention by raising his hand and shouting “Me too, me too, me too!” when Seo Jang-hoon and other members introduced programs they were appearing in or promoting. Having made headlines for challenging himself to produce an album for the first time in 25 years, he actively promoted his current ‘232 Project’, jokingly saying, “Come quickly. I’ll make you a singer.”
Additionally, during the I.O.I re-admission application segment, Lee Sang-min immediately stood up when Chungha said, “I’m so curious about Sang-min’s voice.” He also showed his wit by warmly greeting Lim Na-young, who earned the nickname ‘Little Mermaid’ for being quiet and listening attentively to the other members.
Lee Sang-min kept the conversation flowing by asking questions about I.O.I’s activities. He mentioned the reunion issues of Wanna One and I.O.I, and after listening to I.O.I’s new song ‘Suddenly’, he drew attention by praising the vibe, saying, “It was a complete twist.” In particular, he impressed everyone by showcasing his ‘god of music’ side, instantly recognizing the melody of ‘Suddenly’.
Lee Sang-min’s variety skills also shone during the game segment. In the ‘3-Second Common Sense Quiz’, where participants must answer within three seconds, he caused laughter by stammering when asked, “What is Superman’s job in the movie?” He further exploded his variety sense by showing off his freestyle lyric-changing skills while getting confused with the lyrics of Lee Hyori’s ’10 Minutes’.
