The band LUCY opened up about their plans for new music.
On the afternoon of the 17th, LUCY held their ninth solo concert, ‘ISLAND’, at the KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul. This performance marks LUCY’s first time entering a large-scale venue.
During the show, LUCY shared a behind-the-scenes story about the song ‘동이 틀 때’. Shin Ye-chan revealed, “‘동이 틀 때’ was actually intended to be used as an OST. However, I persuaded them, saying that fans would love it if it were released as a LUCY song.”
The members joked, “The song is so difficult that it would have been really tough if we had promoted it.” They added, “It originally only has one verse, but we only show the second verse during concerts.”
LUCY also playfully mentioned planning another song to repay the love of their fans. They joked, “Next time, maybe we’ll release a 5-minute violin solo song.” This left violinist Shin Ye-chan flustered, as he responded, “I’ll ask other people besides those who came today,” sparking laughter from the crowd.
After wrapping up their Seoul performance, LUCY is scheduled to meet local fans in Taipei and Yokohama, Japan, in June and July.
