Byeon Hyung-kwon discovered a cyst in Jin Sung’s vocal cords.
In the KBS 2TV show ‘Boss’s Ears are Donkey Ears’ aired on the 17th, Byeon Hyung-kwon was shown treating Jin Sung and Oh Yu-jin.
While examining Jin Sung’s vocal cords with a laryngoscope, Byeon Hyung-kwon’s expression turned serious.
Jin Sung, who had previously been diagnosed with blood cancer in 2016, felt quite nervous.
Byeon Hyung-kwon noted the presence of a cyst and stated that a detailed examination is required.
Jin Sung was surprised when Byeon Hyung-kwon mentioned, “It seems surgery will be necessary.”
However, Byeon Hyung-kwon reassured him, saying, “Fortunately, it’s okay,” and explained that it is a simple cyst that requires removal surgery.
After listening to Oh Yu-jin sing ‘Yeppeujana,’ Byeon Hyung-kwon pointed out a vocal habit that seems to squeeze the larynx.
He advised Oh Yu-jin that applying too much force to the vocal muscles can cause vocal nodules or cysts, emphasizing the need for a more relaxed way of singing.
