LUCY has written another page in their “growth narrative” by entering the KSPO Dome for the first time since their debut, performing for over 20,000 fans. Amidst the vibrations of thunderous sing-alongs and energetic jumping, everyday worries quickly vanished. Leaving the venue, which was filled with passion, joy, happiness, and purity, felt like having seen a 3-hour mirage. As the members said, “We really poured everything into this performance,” the “Island of LUCY” revealed to the world for just three hours was intense.
LUCY (Shin Yechan, Choi Sangyeop, Cho Wonsang, Shin Kwangil) held their ninth solo concert, “ISLAND,” on the afternoon of the 17th at the KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul. This was the second day of the performance.
With this concert, LUCY entered the KSPO Dome, often considered a dream stage for artists. This performance marks a milestone in their growth story, having steadily expanded their venues from Blue Square, Yes24 Live Hall, Olympic Hall, and the Handball Gymnasium. According to their agency, Mystic Story, 12,500 seats were opened per session, totaling 25,000 seats over two days.
As Shin Yechan on violin and Cho Wonsang on bass, followed by Choi Sangyeop and Shin Kwangil, took the stage, an explosive band sound filled the venue. LUCY’s music, which feels refreshing yet powerful, is like an ocean that has shaken the hearts of many youths. The opening consisted of songs like “Germination,” “Flowering,” and “Hero,” allowing fans to fully experience their charm.
The powerful sounds of the bass, guitar, and drums, combined with Shin Yechan’s passionate and brilliant violin performance, provided an intense thrill. When “Flowering” began, some audience members in the standing section jumped in response to the members’ burning passion.
After the opening, Cho Wonsang expressed his emotion, introducing them as “LUCY, who has finally entered the Gymnastics Arena.” Choi Sangyeop also shared his gratitude, saying, “We have finally come to the KSPO Dome,” and “It’s all thanks to you.”
This concert was especially meaningful as it was the first concert since drummer Shin Kwangil returned from his military service in March.
Choi Sangyeop rejoiced, saying, “It’s a double celebration. We’re performing at the KSPO Dome and we’re finally back as a full group. It’s a joy upon joy.” Shin Kwangil shared, “It’s so great for all of us to gather in such a large place.” When asked to show some aegyo, he hesitated, saying, “Some of my juniors from the army are here today,” but soon brought laughter with a cute expression and voice.

“I’ll show you why the ‘last concert’ is called the ‘last concert’.”
With that bold ambition, as “Hot” began, the audience in every seat stood up simultaneously and dove into LUCY’s performance. On stage, LUCY handled their instruments with a free-spirited energy, making the expression “flying” come to mind. The word “silence” did not fit. This was a unique color created by LUCY’s heart-pounding music and the members’ perfect immersion in every movement.
They also effortlessly handled communication with the audience, a must in band music. Main vocalist and guitarist Choi Sangyeop asked the fans, “You can do it, right?” and heated up the atmosphere by spraying water. Between LUCY and the audience, who were jumping and singing with bright smiles during songs like “Opening” and “Villain,” it was hard for complicated daily lives or worries to exist.
During emotional songs like “Play” and “What about love,” the audience turned on their phone lights, creating a cozy and dreamy atmosphere. “At Dawn,” which had only been released up to the first verse as an OST for the webtoon “The Crown Prince’s Admission,” was specially performed up to the second verse, thrilling the fans.
Each member’s individuality perfectly completed the identity of LUCY. Among them, Shin Yechan could be seen as the strongest identity of the group. The violinist, who played without a moment’s rest, was like a weapon that created a sound and shape unique to LUCY, different from other bands. The sharp and lively violin sound rode atop the solid band sound, adding a sense of classical grandeur. Since Cho Wonsang produces LUCY’s music, the high musical quality achieved through perfect harmony as a team made the performance well-made.

LUCY completed a rich concert by performing a whopping 27 songs. Choi Sangyeop’s clean and popping voice resonated throughout. He showcased fantastic high notes in “Haze,” and when singing “All Ages,” his voice maximized the energetic mood.
The performance structure was also diverse. Fans could enjoy Shin Yechan’s solo “Little Star” and Choi Sangyeop’s solo “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” Before the “Chameleon” stage, Shin Yechan’s violin and Cho Wonsang’s bass were placed in solo compositions, providing a thrilling auditory experience. The delicate sound of each instrument allowed the audience to feel the ultimate sound.
During “No But Really” and “A Certain Day in the 21st Century,” the fans showed fantastic chemistry with LUCY through loud sing-alongs. The members looked at the audience with warm eyes, seemingly moved by the enthusiastic cheers. At the shout of “Jump!”, the audience jumped and reached out toward the stage. It was the best scenery that can be created between a singer and fans.
LUCY showed confidence, saying, “We really poured everything into this performance. There’s no time to be bored. It’s fun to watch and fun to hear.” It was a justified confidence. Even as the performance entered its final stages, neither the stage nor the audience showed signs of tiring. During songs like “EIO,” “Goblin Dance,” and “That’s Right,” the floor of the venue vibrated from the fans’ jumping. Fans who poured out all their strength continuously fanned themselves to cool down their sweat.
Choi Sangyeop said, “I can see happiness floating in this space as we go wild and sing along to songs we know. You might not feel it, but I can see it. This space is filled with happiness and laughter without any worries. We are as happy as you are.” Following this, Cho Wonsang expressed gratitude to the fans, saying, “I’m happy to feel that we grow every time we perform.”
LUCY continued to pour out their remaining energy through “Ttukttak,” “Ugly,” “The Knight Who Cannot Die and the Silk Cradle,” “Leave it,” “Falling Flowers,” and “Flare,” demonstrating the power of a team that has grown step-by-step. Choi Sangyeop confidently said, “Our performances are really fun for us too,” earning applause. Shin Yechan didn’t forget to thank the fans until the end, saying, “Because you played along so well, we were able to finish the final performance successfully.”
