LUCY's Epic 3.5-Hour Concert: Fans Lost Track of Time!

Ever wondered why fans can’t get enough of LUCY’s performances? The band just brought back all the refreshing vibes of spring with their first full-group concert in a year and a half!

LUCY rocked the KSPO DOME at Olympic Park in Seoul on the 16th and 17th with their ‘2026 LUCY 9TH CONCERT ‘ISLAND”! This epic 3-hour and 30-minute show was extra special, marking their first full-group concert since drummer Shin Gwangil returned from the military in March.

LUCY absolutely dominated the stage! Shin Gwangil’s deep, resonant voice and Choi Sangyeop’s clear, soaring vocals blended perfectly. With violin melodies weaving through the guitar and drums, there were even moments that felt like a full-blown string concert! This performance truly proved that LUCY’s rising presence on music charts is no accident.

What really stood out was the members’ incredible attention to detail! Shin Gwangil brought his custom-made, wagon-style drum set that moved across the stage. Shin Yechan played his 레닝 violin, and Choi Sangyeop even pulled out the acoustic guitar he used during his busking days! Shin Gwangil playfully quipped, “Just the stuff on this costs as much as a car,” confirming, “It’s my actual drum set,” which got a big laugh from the crowd.

Reuniting as a full group after a year and a half, LUCY showcased their rock-solid teamwork! Their signature sound, a blend of rock, violin, electric or acoustic guitar, and bass, was absolutely captivating. On the sub-stage, the members dashed through the venue, getting up close and personal with fans and hyping up the crowd with their boundless energy!

The concert kicked off with ‘발아’ (Germination) from their 2nd full album ‘Childish,’ released just last month! They then powered through ‘개화’ (Flowering) and ‘히어로’ (Hero) without a break, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. LUCY continued to deliver their signature refreshing vibe with a diverse setlist including ‘Opening,’ ‘빌런’ (Villain), ‘놀이’ (Play), ‘사랑은 어쩌고’ (What About Love), and ‘동이 틀 때’ (When Dawn Breaks).

Mid-concert, the energy absolutely exploded! A medley of hits like ‘아지랑이’ (Haze), ‘전체관람가’ (All Ages), ‘아니 근데 진짜’ (No, But Really), and ’21세기의 어떤 날’ (Some Day in the 21st Century) ignited a massive fan sing-along. The entire venue floor vibrated with every jump! LUCY perfectly blended their raw band emotion with festival-level energy, creating a concert experience that was uniquely theirs.

The stages for ‘EIO,’ ‘도깨비춤’ (Goblin Dance), ‘맞네’ (That’s Right), and ‘뚝딱’ (Ttukttak) brought even more excitement! A violin solo that incorporated traditional mask dance, combined with performances that saw members roaming through the standing section, created truly unforgettable moments.

The solo stages were a total treat, designed with a fun radio concept! DJ Shin Gwangil introduced personal stories from the members, who then performed songs that perfectly fit the mood. We got to see each member’s unique flair, from Shin Gwangil’s ‘구구절절’ (Long Story) and Shin Yechan’s ‘Littie Star,’ to Jo Wonsang’s ‘Porch Light’ and Choi Sangyeop’s ‘작은별’ (Little Star).

Choi Sangyeop shared his heartfelt emotions, exclaiming, “I feel like ‘this is why we’ve come all this way!'” He added, “Today, we’ll show you why this concert is our *last* concert,” hinting at the immense effort. He confidently stated, “We poured absolutely everything into this concert. You won’t have missed out on any of the fun, both listening and watching, because we went all out!”

As the concert neared its end, Choi Sangyeop reminisced about LUCY’s very first concert. “When we performed at Blue Square, we didn’t have many original songs, so we performed covers, a Christmas medley, and even some tracks from ‘Superband,'” he shared. “Our feelings now are truly beyond imagination!” He then expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the fans, saying, “I’m so thankful that as our venues have grown, we can share these moments with so many of you.”

From their humble beginnings in small venues, LUCY has now grown into a band that can pack the massive KSPO DOME! And for those unforgettable 210 minutes, every single fan in attendance felt exactly why LUCY’s concerts are an absolute must-see.
