Actor Kim Young-ok is mourning the passing of her husband, and her YouTube channel will be taking a temporary break.
On the 17th, the production team of Kim Young-ok’s YouTube channel shared the sad news, stating, “Mr. Kim Young-gil, the husband of Kim Young-ok, has passed away at the age of 89.”
They continued, “We offer our deepest condolences to the actress and her family, who have said goodbye to a lifelong partner since their marriage in 1960.” They added, “We would be grateful if you could share in this sorrow quietly and remember him with warm hearts.”
The production team further noted, “The YouTube channel will also pause operations for the time being. We ask for your kind understanding.”
Kim Young-ok married former KBS announcer Kim Young-gil in 1960 and has one son and two daughters. The funeral is being held at Room 12 of the Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Hall, with Kim Young-ok and her children serving as the chief mourners. The deceased’s remains will be enshrined at Donghwa Gyeongmo Park via the Byeokje Seoul City Crematorium.
