Jonathan has finally revealed the reason why he doesn’t pay Patricia an appearance fee for his YouTube channel.
On May 17, an episode of “Yojung Table” featuring Jonathan and Patricia was released on the YouTube channel ‘Yojung Jaehyung’.
During the episode, Patricia shared that unlike Jonathan, she hasn’t started her own YouTube channel yet. “I feel like there would be a lot of pressure if I did, so I’m holding off. I’m still not quite sure what I’m into,” she confessed, adding, “People actually seem to like it more when I appear on my brother’s channel.”
Jung Jaehyung then asked, “Haven’t all the YouTube channels you’ve appeared on been huge successes? Does he pay you an appearance fee?” Patricia looked surprised, as if hearing about it for the first time. A flustered Jonathan replied, “Are we really going this route? It’s Family Month, isn’t it?” Patricia clarified that while there isn’t a separate appearance fee, she occasionally receives gifts.
When Jung Jaehyung asked if Jonathan provides an allowance for living expenses, Patricia replied, “Nothing like that. But he’s the type to give it to me immediately if I say I need something.” Jonathan tried to deflect, claiming, “Risha still has a lot of ambition for variety shows,” suggesting she was just playing up the drama for entertainment.
However, when Patricia asked, “Can I have an appearance fee?” Jonathan explained, “Isn’t an appearance fee something you give to someone who just visited? In my opinion, Risha is more than just a guest.” Patricia countered, “Then you should pay me even more!” to which Jonathan warned, “If you’re going to be like this, I’m going to start bringing up your secrets too.”
Jonathan further emphasized, “I do give her money, but I just don’t want to do it too formally. I take better care of her during holidays or birthdays, or help out when she needs urgent cash. I keep track of how Risha is doing behind the scenes and try to support her whenever.”
Listening to this, Jung Jaehyung tried to mediate, saying, “I can really feel the sibling bond here. You bicker, but I can see why he doesn’t pay the fee.” Patricia also added, “I don’t actually expect it.” When Jung Jaehyung wondered if the company was the one not paying and asked for the person in charge, Jonathan quickly pointed the finger, saying, “That could be it. There’s Yu Gyu-seon and Yoo Byung-jae.”
