Guess who’s back in the spotlight, even during his broadcasting hiatus? None other than the beloved Baek Jong-won! He was recently spotted attending not one, but two weddings of close acquaintances alongside his lovely wife, So Yu-jin. Fans were especially thrilled to see him at the wedding of Chef Park Eun-young, his colleague from ‘Black and White Chef’!
On May 17, So Yu-jin shared the happy news on her social media, posting, “Beautiful Chef Park Eun-young’s wedding!” The accompanying photos captured Chef Park Eun-young absolutely glowing in an off-shoulder wedding dress. So Yu-jin even gave fans a peek at their designated seats, charmingly labeled ‘So Yu-jin-nim’ and ‘Baek Jong-won-nim’!
But the wedding bells didn’t stop there! So Yu-jin then whisked fans away to a second celebration, exclaiming, “The meeting of the writer and PD from ‘Marriage Hell Oh Eun-young Report’ – marriage truly is heaven!” The photos from this event even showed Baek Jong-won himself, beaming and applauding, while the hilarious Moon Se-yoon took on emcee duties!
For those who might not know, So Yu-jin and Baek Jong-won tied the knot in January 2013, overcoming a 15-year age difference. They’re now proud parents to one son and two daughters!
Speaking of Baek Jong-won’s hiatus, he announced a break from broadcasting last May amidst controversies surrounding The Born Korea, including allegations of false origin labeling and Food Sanitation Act violations. However, fans haven’t been completely without him! He’s been keeping us updated through pre-filmed shows like U+tv and MBC’s ‘Chef of Antarctica’ and Netflix’s ‘Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War Season 2’. Plus, tvN’s ‘Baek Jong-won’s Global Food Challenge: Baek사장3’, which was filmed in France last April but couldn’t air due to the controversies, has also finally been released!
