On the show “Am I a Person Who Eats a Lot?”, Yoo Min-sang brought laughs by trying the “Mal-meok” cake trend currently popular among the MZ generation.

In the episode of Comedy TV’s “Am I a Person Who Eats a Lot?” aired on the 17th, Kim Min-kyung explored hidden gems in Jeonju, Namwon, and Jeju, while Yoo Min-sang headed to Cheongju in North Chungcheong Province.
First, Kim Min-kyung visited a rice bread bakery in Jeonju with a 20-year tradition. Tasting healthy breads made with rice flour instead of wheat, she was impressed by the light rice cream roll cake, saying, “I could keep eating this.” She continued her bread tour with red bean bread and chestnut bread.
Upon arriving in Cheongju, Yoo Min-sang enjoyed a home-cooked meal featuring various side dishes like cheonggukjang and soy-marinated crab. After creating a massive wrap in his own style, he shouted, “Finally, the one-bite pick is complete!” He expressed great satisfaction with the clean, homemade taste.
Next, Kim Min-kyung headed to Namwon to visit a Chinese restaurant with a 100-year history, now run by the fourth generation. She was fascinated by the unique taste of “Mul-jjajang,” noting, “It tastes like jjajang even though there is no chunjang (black bean paste)!” After pairing it with kkanpung shrimp, she chose Mul-jjajang as her final “one-bite pick.”
Back in Cheongju, Yoo Min-sang visited a dessert spot to try the MZ generation’s viral “Mal-meok” trend, which involves soaking cake in milk. Although he initially grumbled, “It is hard for ahjussis to keep up with this,” he surprised everyone by admitting, “It is tastier than I thought,” sparking laughter.
Finally, Kim Min-kyung visited a Vietnamese restaurant in Jeju run by a native owner. She was amazed by the clean taste of the pho, made from bone broth simmered for 12 hours, saying, “I keep drinking the broth even before adding the sauce.” She wrapped up her Jeju food tour with banh xeo and the sugarcane drink “Nuoc Mia.”
