“I’m Really Disappointed” Deepflow Addresses Controversy Surrounding Rich Gigi’s Show

Rapper Deepflow has spoken out regarding his planned appearance at rapper Rich Gigi’s performance.

On May 19, Deepflow shared a message from a fan on his personal account. The fan wrote, “I’m really disappointed in Deepflow. I honestly don’t understand why a hip-hop veteran of your age would make such a choice.”

The fan continued, “Why be so eager to show off something that brings no benefit? I’m truly deeply disappointed. I can’t understand why someone who mourns and misses their own dog so much would do this.”

Deepflow responded, “Honestly, I had no idea what those numbers meant, so I didn’t make the connection even when looking at the poster. I only realized the situation later after receiving so many hateful messages. From a common-sense perspective, I am also very angry and baffled.”

He added, “This is not about politics. Even if I was unaware, I feel a heavy responsibility as a professional and a senior in the industry.”

He further noted, “I’ve engaged in many indiscriminate collaborations in the past, and this has become an opportunity for me to reflect. I hope there are no misunderstandings.”

Deepflow was originally scheduled to appear as a guest at Rich Gigi’s performance on the 23rd. However, critics pointed out that the date, time, and ticket price of the event were reminiscent of the passing of former President Roh Moo-hyun.

Following an objection raised by the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, the performance was canceled.

Born in 1984, Deepflow began his solo career in 2007 with his first full-length album, ‘Vismajor’.

He gained fame among hip-hop fans for his heavy and raw musical style and has drawn attention through collaborations with various artists.

As the head of the label ‘VMC’, he has showcased his skills not only in rapping but also in producing and continues to be active in music.
