BTS is heading to the American Music Awards (AMA), one of the top three music awards ceremonies in the United States!
According to a report from the US entertainment outlet Deadline on the 20th, BTS will make a special appearance at the 2026 American Music Awards on May 25 (local time).
The ceremony will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
This year, BTS is nominated for “Artist of the Year” and “Best Male K-pop Artist,” and their title track “Swim” is up for “Song of the Summer.”
The American Music Awards hold a special place in the hearts of both BTS and their fandom, ARMY.
Back in 2017, BTS made their first US TV appearance on this stage with a performance of “DNA,” becoming the first Korean group to perform at the awards since its inception in 1974.
BTS has won 11 awards at the AMAs so far, including “Artist of the Year” in 2021 and “Best K-pop Artist” in 2022. This is the second-highest number of wins for any group, following Alabama with 23.
Other performances by KATSEYE, Billy Idol, and Riley Green are also expected at the ceremony.
