According to an exclusive report by Star News on the 21st, Moon Sang-min recently signed a contract renewal with his agency, Awesome ENT (CEO Yang Geun-hwan), based on deep mutual trust.
This renewal is drawing significant attention within and outside the entertainment industry because it happened more than a year before his current contract was set to expire. It is reported that Moon Sang-min first expressed his desire to renew to stably plan his long-term future activities with the agency. It is considered a very rare and heartwarming case in the industry for an actor to propose a renewal while so much of the contract period remains.
The reason Moon Sang-min decided to continue his journey without hesitation is the strong partnership and infinite trust he has built with his agency since his debut in 2019.
Born in 2000, Moon Sang-min debuted in 2019 with the web drama “Four Reasons Why I Hate Christmas.” He made a strong impression on the public by perfectly portraying the role of Prince Seongnam in the 2022 tvN drama “Under the Queen’s Umbrella.” Since then, he has built a solid filmography through title roles in various works, including tvN’s “Wedding Impossible” and Coupang Play’s “Cinderella at 2 AM.” Recently, he proved his deepened acting skills and unique aura through KBS 2TV’s “Dear Thief” and the Netflix movie “Pavanne,” establishing himself as a representative leading actor in his 20s.
Beyond acting, Moon Sang-min showcased his stable hosting skills and qualities as an all-around entertainer while serving as an MC for KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” for a whopping one year and eight months. He is also expanding his horizons by showing off his witty talk and great variety sense in various web variety shows.
Predicting a bold path as a “global prospect,” Moon Sang-min is expected to continue his hot streak with his upcoming projects, the Netflix series “Beauty in the Beast” (working title) and the Disney+ original series “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store.”
With wings now attached thanks to the deep trust with his agency, there is high anticipation for Moon Sang-min’s future moves as a rising star.
