Yoo Seung-jun Addresses Military Rumors: “Entertainment Perks and Civil Servant Firing are Groundless”

Yoo Seung-jun Addresses Military Rumors:

Yoo Seung-jun is setting the record straight regarding misunderstandings about his military service.

On the 21st, a Q&A video titled “Lies and Rumors, I will now set them right” was uploaded to Yoo Seung-jun’s YouTube channel.

During the video, a fan asked, “Was it a fact that you only had to endure six months and were allowed to engage in entertainment activities after work?”

To this, Yoo Seung-jun responded, “Who allows entertainment activities after work? Even the Military Manpower Administration says no such thing exists.” He explained, “At the time, I mentioned going to performances in the US and Japan. I had to have two acquaintances as guarantors. The claim that a civil servant lost their job because I didn’t return to Korea is just a rumor.”

He further added, “Stories about being allowed to perform public service near my home for my convenience or becoming a Marine Corps ambassador are also not true. You can believe that if you want. It feels pathetic to keep talking about this. This is old news.”

He then shared footage from past reports, such as SBS’s ‘Bon-gyeok Yeon-ye Han-bam’, which stated that he would not receive special treatment as a Marine Corps ambassador or singer.

Regarding this, Yoo Seung-jun admitted, “This is a fact. I should have been more cautious, and I am sorry to everyone. However, this is my life, and it is because of this experience that I am living my life so diligently now.”
