The documentary ‘Ran 12.3’ has officially broken even just 13 days after its opening!

Audience reactions are absolutely glowing! The film is maintaining incredibly high ratings, including 9.94 on Naver, a 97% Egg Index on CGV, 9.8 on Lotte Cinema, and 9.5 on Megabox. Along with this buzz, a new poster featuring the message “NEVER AGAIN” has been released. Capturing the urgent atmosphere inside and outside the National Assembly and the faces of citizens during the emergency martial law declaration, the poster serves as a powerful reminder of history that must never be repeated.
The film is also actively connecting with fans through GV (Guest Visit) sessions. The GV held at Gwangju Theater on the 1st saw all 865 seats sell out the moment tickets opened. The event drew crowds not only from Gwangju but also from Haenam, Hapcheon, Daegu, and even international visitors who traveled specifically for the event.
After the screenings, viewers shared a “healing experience,” reflecting on the “victory of the citizens” while facing the historical scars that still remain. Director Lee Myung-se shared his emotions, saying, “I was deeply moved to see the theater filled with people after a long time. I hope the message of this film reaches even more people.” Music Director Cho Sung-woo also expressed his gratitude, stating, “The time spent with the audience will be remembered for a long time.”
‘Ran 12.3’ will continue to expand its reach through various GV sessions. A GV with Director Byun Young-joo is scheduled for today (the 4th) at Megabox Coex, and another featuring Prime Minister Kim Min-seok and Director Lee Myung-se will take place on the 7th at IndieSpace.
‘Ran 12.3’ is a cinematic documentary that records the intense moments surrounding the declaration of emergency martial law on December 3, 2024.
