Crowds gathered in droves for the pop-up store and special exhibition celebrating the release of NCT WISH’s first full-length album, ‘Ode to Love’.
The NCT WISH ‘Ode to Love’ pop-up store took place from April 21 to May 3 at Sounds Forest on the 5th floor of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and at EPIC SEOUL. Online pre-reservations sold out immediately upon opening, with approximately 13,000 fans visiting over the 13-day period.
The pop-up store boosted immersion by being decorated with elements from the new album’s trailer and music video. Large-scale sculptures of the official character ‘Wichu’ in ‘Eros’ and ‘Anteros’ versions captured everyone’s attention with their conceptual visuals.
Fans enjoyed various activities, such as writing cheer messages for NCT WISH and participating in an archery experience to defeat the nightmares from the trailer. The experience was made even more special with behind-the-scenes album photos and members’ handwritten notes and signatures hidden throughout the space.
Meanwhile, the special exhibition ‘LOVE WISH ‘be inspired’ Exhibition’ is currently a huge hit at the 20th Century Printing Office in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It showcases a variety of artworks by contemporary artists who have reinterpreted NCT WISH’s worldview and content.
This exhibition provides both joy and inspiration by presenting familiar elements in a fresh way. Combined with curated books and music, it offers a deep viewing experience, resulting in long daily waiting lines.
On another note, NCT WISH’s first full album ‘Ode to Love’ recorded over 1.825 million copies in first-week sales and achieved three wins on terrestrial music shows for the first time since their debut.
