Daesung from ‘Manly Men’s Travel Method’ had a candid conversation about his marriage worries with Choo Sung Hoon and Kim Jong Kook.
In the 3rd episode of SBS Plus’s ‘Manly Men’s Travel Method in Kyushu’ aired on the 5th, Daesung opened up about his thoughts on marriage.
During the episode, Choo Sung Hoon and Kim Jong Kook bickered at their accommodation. While putting laundry in the washing machine, Choo Sung Hoon bluntly told Kim Jong Kook, “No, I hate it. You smell too much. You smell like an old man” when Kim Jong Kook tried to hand him some clothes.
A flustered Kim Jong Kook replied, “Me? You’re the one who’s something else,” but Choo Sung Hoon insisted, “You’re the one. Your style just smells.”

Choo Sung Hoon even critiqued his fashion, saying, “How does this color match with a red hat? This definitely doesn’t match.” Kim Jong Kook responded, “You’re someone who wears the exact same thing from one to ten. I’ve never heard that in my life. Wearing durable clothes is the best when traveling.”
Choo Sung Hoon laughed, emphasizing, “I admit durable and warm is good. But you shouldn’t smell.”
Meanwhile, Choo Sung Hoon asked Daesung, “How old will you be in 20 years?” When Daesung answered, “Fifty-five or fifty-six?” Choo Sung Hoon replied, “That’s perfect.”

Daesung, who is 37 this year, shared his worries, saying, “I think it would be great to have a baby around then. When I was younger, I vaguely thought I definitely wanted to get married before 40.” Kim Jong Kook related to this, saying, “I was like that too. I naturally thought I would.”
Daesung further explained, “But these days, the age at which people can work has increased, and even people in their 60s are active. People in their 50s are still very energetic. That’s when you’re at your peak socially, with the most power, experience, and leisure.”
Choo Sung Hoon noted, “But your thoughts are definitely quite different from younger people. You feel that too, right?” Kim Jong Kook added, “It can’t be helped. You can never think the same way as them (young people).”
