A showdown between Manager Park Yong-taik and Manager Na Ji-wan is about to unfold.
In the 5th episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Our Neighborhood Baseball Captain’ airing on the 10th, Park Yong-taik’s ‘Little Twins’ and Na Ji-wan’s ‘Little Tigers’ will face off in the first game of Round 3.
Currently, the Little Twins are tied for first place, while the Little Tigers are chasing them with a record of 1 win and 1 loss. To strengthen their mental fortitude, Manager Na Ji-wan led his players on a hike up Mudeungsan Mountain. Having built their stamina by conquering the 1,000m peak, the “baby tiger” squad is expected to show persistent play in the latter half of the game.
The will to win is fierce for both managers. Manager Park Yong-taik expressed confidence in a landslide victory, stating, “Today, I’m not looking for a narrow win; my goal is a 10-run mercy rule game.” Meanwhile, Manager Na Ji-wan, watching his players grow, shared his satisfaction, saying, “There haven’t been many things that gave me a dopamine rush since my playing days, but I feel so good right now that my hair is practically standing on end.”
‘Our Neighborhood Baseball Captain’ is a variety show where legendary players form teams with local youth to compete. The show recently successfully completed its first in-person viewing event at Hwaseong Dream Park Baseball Stadium and airs every Sunday night at 9:20 PM.
