ANDOUBLE (Zhang Hao, Yoo Seung-eon, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Han Yujin) will release their first mini album, ‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’, on the 26th at 6 PM across various music sites. All eyes are on whether ANDOUBLE can truly bring a new wave to the K-pop scene.
ANDOUBLE is the first boy group to be introduced by YH Entertainment in about four years. Their name is a combination of ‘AND’ and ‘DOUBLE’, symbolizing the expansion of “me-ness” by overlapping various inner selves rather than showing just a fragmented side. The team’s direction is to combine each member’s unique personality and identity to form a single, distinct image and build it into a brand.
The first mini album ‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ opens the curtain on ANDOUBLE’s upcoming journey, focusing on “curiosity,” the most instinctive emotion humans encounter. It captures the moment excitement and curiosity for an unfamiliar world bloom, exploring the subtle inner changes the members experience along the way.
‘Sequence 01: Curiosity’ features a total of five songs, including the title track ‘Curious’. Fans can explore their sophisticated musical world through the sub-title track ‘Aura’, which wittily crosses the boundaries of Pop and R&B; ‘Sugar Rush’, a dance-pop track blending groovy synth bass with funky electronic percussion; ‘Bed’, a Pop/R&B song featuring a rhythmic beat and an explosive chorus; and ‘Happy &’, an alternative pop fan song with a catchy sing-along part.
The title track ‘Curious’ is an energetic EDM track combining synth-pop and future house elements. It conveys the confidence to fearlessly face the changes brought about by “dangerous curiosity” at the moment of a new beginning. Through ‘Curious’, ANDOUBLE plans to firmly establish the group’s color and embark on a bold musical journey in the music industry.
The music video was produced by Legend Film, known for its sensory direction, creating a special synergy with ANDOUBLE. It is described as providing an immersive experience similar to a fantasy movie, maximizing ANDOUBLE’s multi-layered charms with overwhelming visuals.
