A New Era for Concerts! 'Sustainable Wave Festival' Aiming for Carbon Neutrality Hits the Stage in August

Korea’s first sustainable environmental music festival aiming for carbon neutrality, the ‘Sustainable Wave Festival’, is set to launch a brand new paradigm for performances in this era of climate crisis.

The ‘Sustainable Wave Festival’ will take place over two days, August 29 and 30, at the Incheon Munhak Stadium.

Designed as the first concert in Korea to target carbon neutrality, this eco-friendly project aims to raise public awareness about climate change. Under the slogan ‘START WAVE — Big changes starting small’, the festival will feature various eco-friendly operational systems and environmental campaigns.

The ‘Sustainable Wave Festival’ is expected to become a new kind of event where environment and culture collide. The organizers have integrated sustainability into everything from stage production to the overall program, allowing fans to soak up eco-friendly messages while enjoying the music. This is expected to set a new standard for the Korean performance industry and show how culture can take social responsibility during the climate crisis.

CEO Lee Seo-yoon of the organizing company stated, “We will lead gradual changes starting from actionable areas so that audiences, companies, and the government can all increase their interest in carbon neutrality together.”
