Actor Lee Hyo-jung and his wife are set to appear on TV CHOSUN’s ‘Perfect Life’ tonight at 8 PM to reveal a surprising new challenge.
Known as the ‘Lee Yeon-bok of Ilsan’, Lee Hyo-jung revealed that he opened a galbi restaurant last year to celebrate his wife’s 60th birthday. He shared, “The kids are all grown up, and my wife turned 60. I’ve wanted to serve delicious food to people for a long time.”
The restaurant’s exterior features a photo of Lee Hyo-jung along with the phrase, “I will do my best, Big Servant Lee Hyo-jung.” He is fully immersed in the work, from handling the charcoal to grilling meat right at the customers’ tables.
MC Oh Ji-ho was amazed, comparing this to Lee Hyo-jung’s frequent roles as a chairman in dramas, exclaiming, “A chairman is actually grilling the meat!”
Lee Hyo-jung explained, “It’s busy because I’m challenging myself with something I’ve never done before, but it’s fun.” He added that since starting the restaurant, he gets real-time feedback as customers often bring up his dramas.

When Lee Sung-mi joked, “It looks like you put your photo up big, but your wife is doing all the work,” Lee Hyo-jung clarified, “The tasks I handle are the servant’s work. Running a restaurant is a long-term game, so it’s important for my wife to adapt quickly. I try not to intrude on her role as much as possible.”
He is also taking the lead in developing new menu items. While Lee Hyo-jung showed great enthusiasm, saying, “I’m developing new menus with the head chef,” the head chef sparked laughter by revealing, “Whenever Lee Hyo-jung enters the kitchen, we generally try to avoid him.”
