Actors Ahn Nae-sang, Go Kyu-pil, Park Ji-hwan, and Kim Jae-hwa are joining the cast of MBC’s ‘Fifties Professionals’ for special appearances!
Premiering on May 22, the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘Fifties Professionals’ (directed by Han Dong-hwa and written by Jang Won-seop) will get an early boost of energy from these four talented actors.
First up, Ahn Nae-sang will appear in episode 1 as Kwon Soon-bok, the Director of National Security. As a key figure involved in a passenger ship operation, he will be driving the tension early on. Known for his deep acting in ‘Judge Lee Han-young’, ‘Gui-gung’, ‘Death to Snow White-Black Out’, and the film ‘12.12: The Day’, Ahn Nae-sang is expected to anchor the drama with his realistic charisma.
Go Kyu-pil will bring some laughs in episode 1 as a ‘Newtuber’. Having been loved for his unique performances in the Netflix series ‘Monthly Boyfriend’, ‘All Your Wishes Will Come True’, and the drama ‘The Fiery Priest’, he is set to energize the show with his signature sly charm and wit.
Park Ji-hwan will appear in episodes 1, 2, and 4 as the ‘President of Youngsun Steel’, who treats Bong Je-soon (played by Oh Jung-se), a North Korean agent with amnesia, quite poorly. After showing a strong presence in ‘The King and the Clown’, ‘Boss’, ‘Takryu’, and the ‘Gyeongseong Creature’ series, Park Ji-hwan is expected to add humor through his lifelike acting.
Kim Jae-hwa will take on the role of Heuk-jin-ju, a special agent from the North Korean State Security Department’s Counter-Intelligence Bureau, appearing in episodes 1 and 2. Heuk-jin-ju is a character attempting to hand over a USB containing information on slush funds and smuggling from high-ranking North Korean officials to Japanese intelligence. Kim Jae-hwa, who has shown a wide acting spectrum in ‘Veteran 2’, ‘Smugglers’, ‘Typhoon Company’, and ‘The Tale of Lady Ok’, will lead the early atmosphere with her intense presence.
