AKMU left a lasting impression on ‘Space Gonggam’, bringing joy and comfort to everyone through their music.
On the May 13 episode of EBS ‘Space Gonggam’, AKMU appeared to showcase a performance filled with their own unique sensibility and philosophy, marking their return with ‘Blooming’, their first full-length album in seven years. The show was more than just a live concert; it was a piece of art created in harmony with the audience.
As the first song, ‘Paradise of Rumors’, began, Lee Chanhyuk got the crowd on their feet, saying, “If you’re with us, you have to do this dance!” In an instant, the venue turned into a festive celebration where the artists and fans danced and sang together.
Lee Chanhyuk also shared his honest thoughts on the new album ‘Blooming’. He explained, “While we’ve always talked about ‘leaving’ in the past, I finally feel like we’ve settled down and bloomed,” adding, “‘Blooming’ isn’t just an album, but a result that captures our lives itself.” It was a moment that highlighted the deepened perspective and worldview of artists in their 12th year since debut.
AKMU didn’t hide their love for ‘Space Gonggam’. Lee Suhyun revealed, “It’s a program we love so much that we always tell each other we must appear here whenever an album is released,” while Lee Chanhyuk expressed his sincere affection, saying, “Broadcasts that allow us to fully showcase our music like this are truly rare.”
Most importantly, Lee Suhyun’s honest confession left the biggest impact. Having returned to the stage after a slump, she confessed, “In the end, it was music that made me stand up again,” and added, “I am overwhelmingly happy the moment I sing.”
When a fan told her, “Thank you for singing again,” Lee Suhyun moved the crowd by replying, “I will stay on stage for a long time.”
