AKMU Sweeps Circle Chart with 6 Wins!

Talk about a clean sweep! AKMU just took home six awards.

The April 2026 Circle Chart saw some serious power moves from AKMU, Tomorrow X Together, BTS, and NCT WISH, all claiming the top spots in their respective categories.

The Korea Music Content Association, which operates the Circle Chart, announced that in the April monthly chart, AKMU secured six wins, Tomorrow X Together took two, BTS topped the Global K-pop Chart, and NCT WISH claimed first place on the Retail Album Chart.

AKMU achieved the honor of six wins with the title track “Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart” from their 4th full album “Blooming” (topping the Digital chart with a Circle Index of 67,567,986, as well as the BGM, V-Coloring, Ringtone, and Call-back tone charts) and the pre-release track “Paradise of Rumors,” which hit #1 on the Streaming Chart. Both songs have received an overwhelming response from the public since their release, leaving a deep impression with AKMU’s unique sensibility.

Tomorrow X Together landed two wins, topping the Album Chart with “7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stopped for a Moment in the Thorn Bush” (1,668,464 copies sold) and the Download Chart with the title track “Stick With You.” Their 8th mini-album, which focuses on the honest emotions of the five members, recorded total sales of 1,934,435 copies across all versions (CD+Weverse+SMC) within the Album Chart TOP 100.

BTS reclaimed the top spot on the Global K-pop Chart after nine months with “SWIM,” the title track from their 5th full album “ARIRANG.” They also topped the Social Chart 3.0 for two consecutive months, marking another double win. “SWIM” is a track that sings about the determination to keep swimming forward through the waves of life.

NCT WISH took first place on the Retail Album Chart with their first full album “Ode to Love – The 1st Album,” which showcased a clearer musical color and recorded 306,527 retail sales. The total sales for all versions (CD+SMC) within the Retail Album Chart TOP 50 reached 447,400 copies.

NCT WISH also recorded the biggest jump in rankings on the Social Chart 3.0 for March, providing a direct glimpse into the global popularity of K-pop.

In the Week 18 Circle Chart (April 26 to May 2, 2026), AKMU swept six categories again, with “Paradise of Rumors” topping the Digital, Streaming, V-Coloring, Ringtone, and Call-back tone charts, and “Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart” taking the BGM chart. Meanwhile, BTS’s “SWIM” hit #1 on the Global K-pop Chart, TWS topped the Album Chart with their “5th Mini Album …NO TRAGEDY…”, and NEXZ claimed the Retail Album Chart with “Mmchk”.

Additionally, the Circle Certification for albums includes 4 Million for BTS’s “ARIRANG” and 1 Platinum for P1Harmony’s “UNIQUE” and BTS’s “ARIRANG (Weverse).” In the streaming category, certifications were awarded to DK’s “심(心)”, HUNTR/X, EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI, and the KPop Demon Hunters Cast for “Golden”.
