BIGBANG is getting ready to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary together with their fans!
On May 1 at 8:19 PM, the group announced via their official SNS accounts that they are recruiting V.I.P (their fandom name) for the first time in about 11 years, since the 5th generation recruitment back in 2015.
The released poster features the Bangbong (BIGBANG’s official lightstick), symbolizing the strong bond between BIGBANG and V.I.P, ramping up excitement for the 20th anniversary project.
This 6th generation recruitment will take place through the BIGBANG official community on the global fandom platform bstage.
YG Entertainment shared, “We prepared the official fan club recruitment to connect more closely with the fans who have protected BIGBANG’s name for a long time.” They added, “Please look forward to the new 20th anniversary journey that the artists and V.I.P will write together.”
Last month, BIGBANG took the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG caused a stir with a performance that spanned their hit songs and solo tracks.
During the event, G-DRAGON specifically announced, “We will start the BIGBANG 20th anniversary world tour,” adding, “It starts in August, so please wait for it.”
