Toy Story 5 was recently voted the number one “Most Anticipated Movie of the Summer” in a survey conducted by Fandango, North America’s largest ticketing platform.
This result is especially meaningful as it involved over 6,000 movie fans. Toy Story 5 grabbed attention by taking the top spot, beating out major blockbusters like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Odyssey.
This film is the fifth installment of the iconic Disney Pixar animation series, Toy Story. It promises an expanded narrative centered on the crises and friendships toys face amidst the changes of a new era.
Fans are particularly excited to see Woody, Buzz, and Jessie team up again in an environment changed by the appearance of the smart tablet Lilypad. The setting, which reflects the reality of today’s tech-savvy children, is also highlighted as a key point of interest.

The film surpassed the record of Elemental (7.24 million viewers in 2023), ranking fourth in all-time domestic animation hits, and hit the 8 million mark faster than Inside Out 2 (8.79 million viewers).
Furthermore, it surpassed 1.468 billion dollars (approx. 2.115 trillion won) in cumulative global box office revenue, beating Frozen 2 (1.453 billion dollars) to become the highest-grossing Disney animation of all time.
Following the popularity of the original 2016 film, the second season proved the power of the hit animation series with even more love from fans.
