Actress Chae Jung-an recently opened up about her hilarious past struggles to keep her romantic relationships a secret.
On the 25th, a video titled “Chae Jung-an and Kim Dong-wook, Cuff’s ex-girlfriend and Harim came to raid Dong-yeop Shin” was uploaded to the channel ‘Zzanhan Hyung Shin Dong-yup’. During the episode, Chae Jung-an and actor Kim Dong-wook shared a candid conversation over some drinks.
When the topic of “secret dating” came up, Chae Jung-an vented, “I dated in secret. But I was always caught, which was so frustrating. Back then, lying just didn’t work. I was getting caught since the pager era. I’m still curious how my manager always managed to find me whenever I was secretly with my boyfriend.” She even revealed that she once wore bandages on a date to avoid detection, adding, “I wanted to look like someone who was sick or had a sad story.”
When Kim Dong-wook asked, “Didn’t someone report you?” Chae Jung-an clarified, “The funny thing is, I didn’t do it to deceive the public, but rather to avoid being caught by my manager.”
After hearing the story, Shin Dong-yup made everyone burst into laughter with a witty response: “Do you know how the manager found you? The security guard called and asked, ‘Chae Jung-an looks very sick, is she okay?'”
Born in 1977, Chae Jung-an debuted in 1995 and first gained popularity as a “Techno Warrior.” She later transitioned into acting and hit her peak in 2007 playing the role of Han Yoo-joo in MBC’s ‘Coffee Prince’. Her visuals and aura in that role are still widely talked about today.
