Lee Jun-young and Lee Ju-myung’s suspicious office lives are sparking major curiosity!
JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘신입사원 강회장’ (New Employee Chairman Kang), premiering May 30, has released three teasers showcasing unexpected charms. The series is created by Kim Soon-ok, written by Hyun Ji-min, directed by Ko Hye-jin, produced by SLL and Corpus Korea, and based on the original work by San-gyeong.
The teasers preview the chaotic office life of Hwang Jun-hyun (Lee Jun-young), who is possessed by the soul of Chairman Kang Yong-ho (Son Hyun-joo), and Kang Bang-geul (Lee Ju-myung), the Chairman’s hidden youngest daughter, as they work in the Materials Team 2 of Choi Sung Group.
The first video starts with Hwang Jun-hyun enthusiastically introducing himself, saying, “I’m Hwang Jun-hyun, starting my first day at Choi Sung Corporation today!” While stretching to relax, his gaze suddenly changes as he makes a bold proposal: “Want to take over Choi Sung Group? With me.”
The second video follows the hectic work hours of Hwang Jun-hyun, who is a chairman on the inside but an intern on the outside. He frowns while trying to decipher unfamiliar slang like ‘salary lupin’ (someone who gets paid for doing nothing), ‘ASAP’, and ‘Lee-toe-baek’ (an unemployed person who quit in their 20s), but his innate chairman vibes shine through as he closely monitors news about other group chairmen in the newspaper.
The third video reveals the secret double life of Kang Bang-geul, who is disguised as Casey Kang, an intern who studied abroad. While appearing immature by bluntly replying “I’m busy” to her mother’s call, she sparks interest with a twist: she was actually analyzing Choi Sung Group’s financial statements.
Meanwhile, ‘신입사원 강회장’ is a ‘remind life’ story about Kang Yong-ho, the chairman of the leading conglomerate Choi Sung Group known as the ‘God of Business,’ who unexpectedly begins a second life after an accident. It premieres on the 30th.
