
Actor Cho Sung-ha is capturing everyone’s attention and leading a streak of sold-out shows in the National Theater Company’s play ‘Banya Ajae’, currently playing at the Haeoreum Theater.
‘Banya Ajae’ is a fresh Korean adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s masterpiece ‘Uncle Vanya’. It explores themes of family, sacrifice, and the emptiness of middle age, all set against the realistic backdrop of the Korean countryside.
Cho Sung-ha takes on the role of ‘Park I-bo’, delivering a delicate performance that captures the weight of time, human sorrow, and suppressed emotions, truly touching the hearts of the audience. Fans are reacting that his signature acting style, which provides an explosive sense of immersion even within restrained emotions, leaves a long-lasting impression long after the curtain falls.
