
Singer Choi Jae-myung has officially climbed to the top of the Blue Dragon Ranking!
In the April Male Singer category vote that ended on the 24th, Choi Jae-myung proudly took the crown with a final vote share of 41.08%.
This victory is a precious result achieved by maintaining a lead throughout the voting period, thanks to the incredible fire-power of his fandom.
Chu Hyuk-jin, who was considered a strong contender until the mid-point, unfortunately finished in 2nd place with 25.66%.
While the competition between the two stars was hotter than ever, it was not enough to overcome the wall built by Choi Jae-myung’s strong final push.
The final top rankings for the April Blue Dragon Ranking Male Singer category are: 1st Choi Jae-myung (41.08%), 2nd Chu Hyuk-jin (25.66%), and 3rd Park Ji-hoo (7.01%).
Choi Jae-myung is a star who appeared like a comet after placing in the TOP7 (5th place) on TV Chosun’s ‘Mr. Trot 3’.
Having majored in Pansori at Seoul Institute of the Arts, he is praised as having a “unique voice in the trot world” due to his deep vocalization and delicate emotional expression.
His debut song ‘Yeonriji’, often called the ultimate competition stage, continues to be talked about and loved by many fans.
Recently, Choi Jae-myung has been appearing as a regular on TV Chosun’s ‘Romantic Call Centre: Seven Stars’, showcasing high-quality performances every week.
He is also actively working across regional festivals and broadcasting, including being appointed as the promotional ambassador for his hometown, Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk.
With the full support of his fans, Choi Jae-myung became the protagonist of April, further solidifying his position as a next-generation trot emperor through this 1st place finish in the Blue Dragon Ranking.
Meanwhile, the ‘Blue Dragon Ranking’ is conducted by Sports Chosun, the organizer of the Blue Dragon Film Awards and Blue Dragon Series Awards, together with CelebChamp. Along with selecting monthly winners, they identify trending stars through semi-annual winners. Trophies are awarded to the semi-annual winners (Male Actor, Female Actor, Male Singer, Female Singer) chosen every six months.
