Comedian Lee Su-ji is mourning the loss of her father-in-law.
On the 25th, a representative from her agency, CP Entertainment, confirmed to Sports Today that Lee Su-ji’s father-in-law has passed away.
According to the agency, her father-in-law passed away around 6 AM today due to a chronic illness. The funeral is being held at Room 1 of the Gurye Forest Cooperative Funeral Hall in Gurye-eup, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, with the burial scheduled for the 27th.
The agency shared, “We ask for your warm comfort and condolences for Lee Su-ji and her bereaved family. May he rest in peace.”
Recently, Lee Su-ji won the Best Female Entertainer award in the TV category at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards on the 8th. During her acceptance speech, she shared the news of her father-in-law’s illness, saying, “My father-in-law is very sick. I hope he can smile while watching the broadcast.”
Lee Su-ji married a non-celebrity man three years her junior in 2018 and has a son.
