Group CORTIS has brought an incredible amount of energy to their ‘ACAI’ performance!
On the 12th at 9 PM, CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhoon, Sunghyun, and Gunho) dropped a conceptual performance film for ‘ACAI,’ a track from their second mini album ‘GREENGREEN,’ via the HYBE Labels YouTube channel.
‘ACAI’ was inspired by the acai bowls the five members munched on every day while working on their new release. The video visually captures the song’s humorous vibe and highlights the choreography the members helped create as co-choreographers.
The setting of the conceptual performance film follows the ‘ACAI’ music video released on the 11th. The group freely moved through various locations, including a classic hotel restaurant, garden, basement warehouse, hallway, elevator, guest room, and lobby. Some scenes were filmed with a vintage camcorder, perfectly blending with CORTIS’s raw energy.
‘ACAI’ sees every member credited for the lyrics and composition, with Martin and Sunghyun also taking part in the producing process to polish the track. Behind the witty lyrics and sound lies a sincere ambition: to become artists with true substance, just like an acai bowl that tastes delicious even without fancy toppings.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is a five-member boy group that debuted last August. They released their second EP ‘GREENGREEN’ on the 4th, an album that more clearly showcases the possibilities they plan to explore.
