Comedian Han Yun-seo is facing a major crisis just before her wedding.
In the episode of TV Chosun’s ‘Joseon’s Lover’ aired on Monday the 4th, Han Yun-seo’s journey was a rollercoaster of emotions, from nervousness and touching moments to a sudden, shocking crisis.
Han Yun-seo showed deep trust in her boyfriend, saying, “Seeing how he accepts my high-tension and eccentric family, I felt that he is a person with a broad heart.”
As her mother, Yang Ok-ja, gave her tips on everything from attire to greetings for the meeting with her future in-laws, Han Yun-seo opened up about the time her self-esteem plummeted after failing the comedian exam seven times.
She shared a touching story, revealing that she was able to endure for 15 years because of a fan who left comments on all her articles. That fan turned out to be her mother, and she tearfully admitted that she wouldn’t be where she is today without her first fan.
Han Yun-seo couldn’t hide her nerves before the first meeting, changing clothes multiple times before finally picking a light blue suit. She even brought out a deodorizer for a little roleplay and joked, “My body is rejecting this level of neatness,” bringing laughter to viewers. To steady her nerves, she sipped a can of beer at 11 AM, expressing her happiness. She also had an emotional reunion with her mother, who surprised her, as they hugged and shared their heartfelt feelings.
However, while Han Yun-seo was enjoying herself, Moon Jun-woong heightened the tension with some shocking news. With a serious expression, Moon Jun-woong said, “I have something to tell you,” and revealed that his mother had suddenly contacted him to cancel next week’s meeting. Through Moon Jun-woong’s aunt, it was revealed that the future mother-in-law feels the marriage is happening too quickly and is worried about Han Yun-seo’s love for alcohol. While Han Yun-seo tried to soothe her heart with a drink, her mother, Yang Ok-ja, threw away the beer and burst into tears, leaving everyone heartbroken.
