Former WJSN member Dayoung revealed a surprising story about how she only discovered the identity of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie, after filming a music video.
In the MBC show ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ aired on the 23rd, Dayoung appeared as a solo singer who has completely transformed from the youngest member of WJSN into a ‘hot girl’.
Dayoung shared behind-the-scenes stories from her second digital single ‘What’s a girl to do’, released last April, revealing an unexpected global connection.
Recalling the process, Dayoung said, “We held open auditions for dancers in the US, and about 700 people applied. Among them, a friend named Shiloh came in comfortable clothes. While other participants dressed in ‘hip’ styles, she had a natural feel, like a model.”
She continued, “At first, she didn’t immediately stand out. I thought, ‘Does she even know how to dance?’ but once she started, she completely overwhelmed the scene with her vibe. She was so good that she passed immediately.”
Dayoung surprised everyone by revealing she only learned Shiloh’s identity after the shoot. “While organizing the credits, I saw the name ‘Shiloh Jolie’. It’s not a common surname, so that’s when I realized,” she explained. “Shiloh later personally asked me to remove her last name. I think she wanted to be recognized for herself without her mother’s fame. My MV ended up being Shiloh’s debut work.”
Dayoung also expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thanks to Shiloh, my name is being mentioned overseas and many articles have been published. I’m actually very grateful.”
