‘Noona is a Woman to Me’ is returning to your screens for Season 2!
A production presentation for the new KBS 2TV variety show ‘Noona is a Woman to Me Season 2’ was held online on the 22nd. Model Han Hye Jin, 2PM’s Jang Wooyoung, singer DinDin, and PD Park Jin Woo were all in attendance.
‘Noona is a Woman to Me Season 2’ is a “deep and hot” real romance between older women who haven’t found love yet because they were too busy focusing on their careers, and younger men who believe that age is just a number when it comes to love.
Season 1, which aired in the second half of last year, recorded ratings between 0.7% (lowest) and 1.3% (highest) according to Nielsen Korea.
PD Park Jin Woo highlighted the differences for the new season, stating, “Season 1 was about introducing the program and its concept. For Season 2, we’ve worked harder to provide intuitive fun and immersion.” He added, “It would be great to think of this season as having more stimulation and a bit more dopamine compared to Season 1.”
He also explained that they looked for participants who are active in expressing their emotions and curated the cast with visuals and combinations that would be rare to encounter in real life.
While Han Hye Jin, Hwang Woo Seul Hye, Jang Wooyoung, and Tomorrow X Together’s Soobin served as MCs for Season 1, Hwang Woo Seul Hye and Soobin have departed. DinDin has joined as a new MC for Season 2 to fill the gap.
DinDin, who was offered a guest spot for Season 1 but couldn’t appear due to his schedule, shared, “I was curious when I was told I’d be an MC for Season 2. I preferred older women when I was younger. I wanted to bring back those memories and experience some vicarious satisfaction.” He decided to join after recalling his experience dating older women.
He also reminisced about his past dating days, saying, “There’s a scene where a noona is driving. It reminded me of a time when a noona drove me home in her car, and it felt like I was riding a magic carpet. Thinking about that, I felt that the men in the show would be really fluttered.”
To this, Han Hye Jin joked, “That noona must have been exhausted,” to which DinDin playfully replied, “That noona is married now. She even had a child. I’ll keep it a secret!”
Han Hye Jin gave a sneak peek into the content of Season 2, emphatically stating, “While watching the program, I wondered if the noona or the younger man was the protagonist. In Season 2, the younger men are definitely the protagonists.”
However, DinDin countered, “No, the noonas are the protagonists,” leaving fans curious about the actual broadcast.
Meanwhile, ‘Noona is a Woman to Me Season 2’ premieres on the 23rd at 10:40 PM.
