DinDin has revealed that he has experience dating older women!
During the online press conference for KBS 2TV’s real romance show ‘Nuna is a Woman to Me 2’ (hereafter ‘Nunae-yeo’) on the morning of May 22, singer DinDin shared some of his past dating stories.
Joining the cast for Season 2, DinDin reportedly participated in the filming without watching Season 1 at the production team’s request. Explaining his thoughts, he said, “The production team told me absolutely not to watch Season 1 because it would reduce the initial feeling of the program’s vibe and excitement. So, I didn’t watch it.” He added, “When I watch other dating shows, I sometimes feel like some people are there for reasons other than finding true love, which makes it hard to immerse myself. But in our show, I can see the sincerity of those looking for love, making me think, ‘These people are genuine. They’ll go all-in regardless of their image.'” DinDin also expressed his satisfaction with the show, noting that the fast pace allowed him to get fully immersed.
When asked about shocking scenes or cast members, DinDin noted, “Unlike other dating shows, the nunas treat the male cast as very cute. That feeling is different. In the past, when I entered a gathering with older women, they treated me as cute and pampered me. They even let me sit on their laps because I was so cute. I’ve been through that a few times…”
Having dated older women before, DinDin couldn’t help but reminisce. “When dating an older woman, there’s a feeling of wanting to lean on them. While watching, I felt that desire to lean on the nunas and thought, ‘I liked that part.’ But at the same time, while they are older, there are moments when they want to be seen as a woman. I think the charm of older-woman/younger-man couples is when those walls break down one by one. Watching this, I thought, ‘Ah, that was great.’ There’s a moment where the age barrier collapses, and in the process of becoming an equal couple, there’s a certain thrill for the younger man. Seeing those things on the show made me think, ‘That was nice,'” he confessed.
DinDin also mentioned a scene where a nuna drives. “There’s a scene where a nuna is driving. When I dated a certain nuna, there were times she drove me home in her car, and it felt like riding a magic carpet. Recalling those emotions, I felt that the male cast member must be so fluttery, which was great,” he reminisced. To this, Han Hye-jin delivered a blunt remark, saying, “That nuna must have been very tired,” to which DinDin wittily responded, “That nuna is married now. I heard she even had a child,” sparking laughter.
Meanwhile, ‘Nunae-yeo,’ which premieres on May 23, is a ‘deep & hot’ real romance between older women who haven’t found love yet due to their intense focus on their careers, and younger men who believe age is just a number.
