DinDin has finally returned to Canada after 16 long years!
In the upcoming episode of MBC Every1’s ‘Welcome, First Time in Korea?’ airing on the 14th, we’ll get a glimpse into DinDin’s recent trip to Canada.
Right from the opening, DinDin shares various local stories, explaining that he visited Canada because of ‘Welcome’. While filming the episode featuring a large Canadian family, he suddenly missed the place where he spent his school days and managed to carve out some time for a visit. Everyone was shocked to learn it had been a whopping 16 years since his last visit!
The episode also reveals a “secret request” from Canadian-born Julien Kang. Upon hearing about DinDin’s trip, Julien Kang reportedly asked him to bring back some snacks that can only be found locally.
When DinDin handed over the snacks, Julien Kang couldn’t hide his excitement, shouting “I love you, DinDin!” and cheering, which turned the set into a sea of laughter.
‘Mukbang Godfather’ Kim Jun-hyun’s reaction is also a highlight. After tasting the Canadian snacks, Kim Jun-hyun looked bewildered, saying, “What is this… it’s a taste I’ve never had before.” While noting that the flavor is “very unfamiliar to Koreans,” he immediately reached for more, admitting, “But it’s incredibly addictive,” causing an explosion of laughter.
Meanwhile, the broadcast will also reveal the final leg of the large Canadian family’s journey through Korea. Set against the backdrop of Gangneung and Sokcho, the trip will feature a delicious food tour including potato pancakes, hotteok, and Korean BBQ.
