In the Mnet episode of ‘Wanna One Go: Back to Base’ aired on the 12th, the members of Wanna One gathered for a fun housewarming party. Director Jang Hang-jun made a surprise appearance, delivering some incredibly realistic life advice that left everyone laughing and nodding in agreement.
The episode featured Yoon Ji-sung and Park Ji-hoon’s beloved dogs, Baero and Max. Yoon Ji-sung shared a touching detail, revealing that Baero was rescued just before being euthanized. Both pups were welcomed with open arms, as they were often called the “12th member” during Wanna One’s active days. The members teased Park Ji-hoon, asking if Max could do tricks, and while Park Ji-hoon confidently tried to demonstrate a “Bang-ya” trick, his failure brought a wave of laughter.
Things got hectic when a message saying “a surprise guest is visiting” was found in Baero’s bag. The members scrambled to clean the place while guessing who it could be, mentioning names like BoA and Son Heung-min. The first guest to arrive was actor Shin Seung-ho. Having worked with several members before, Shin Seung-ho joked about Kim Jae-hwan’s gym-like room, calling it a “tasty spot” (meaning a great place). BTOB’s Minhyuk and ALD1 members Leo and Sangwon also joined the party.

The final surprise guest was Director Jang Hang-jun. When only his ankle was visible, Lee Dae-hwi exclaimed, “That looks like a woman’s ankle! Is it BoA sunbaenim?” Once Jang Hang-jun fully appeared, the members cheered and playfully pushed Park Ji-hoon to the front. Director Jang Hang-jun visited to return the favor after the Wanna One members attended the premiere of ‘The Man Living with the King,’ starring Park Ji-hoon, back in January.
Showing off his signature self-love, Jang Hang-jun handed out a 3-piece set of his own merchandise as housewarming gifts. He then gave Park Ji-hoon some “realistic” nagging, jokingly saying, “You’ve put on some weight, haven’t you? You really need to lose some weight,” which sparked an explosion of laughter.
At first, Jang Hang-jun claimed, “I’ll just say what I want and leave since this isn’t even my show,” but he immediately changed his tune when high-end Kaoliang liquor appeared. He asked, “Shall we have a drink?” and joked that he had no other schedules for the day, making the set a sea of laughter.
When asked to write a company motto for Wanna One, Jang Hang-jun spent a long time grinding the ink before complaining, “This is the kind of work you give to your juniors,” and passed the task to Park Ji-hoon. The final motto he wrote was: “Manage your money well (don’t start a business or trade, and don’t trust anyone).” This blunt yet poignant advice left the members in stitches and became a hot topic immediately after the broadcast.
