Director Yeon Sang-ho shared some insights into actor Jun Ji-hyun’s real-life personality.
On May 8, an interview featuring Director Yeon Sang-ho and actors Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Shin-rok, Ji Chang-wook, Koo Kyo-hwan, and Shin Hyun-bin for the movie ‘Gunche’ was released on PD Na Young-seok’s YouTube channel, ‘Channel Fullmoon’.
When Na Young-seok asked, “Actor Jun Ji-hyun isn’t usually easy to see, what is she like?” Director Yeon Sang-ho joked about her physique, saying, “Her legs are so long that she’s almost like a water strider,” adding that she is a perfect subject for a zombie role, which sparked laughter.
He further mentioned that Jun Ji-hyun is quite easygoing and humble, noting, “Actor Koo Kyo-hwan and I often have these completely meaningless conversations, and Jun Ji-hyun actually enjoys them.”
Jun Ji-hyun laughed and added, “Actually, even when I’m talking by myself, I’ll bring Kim Shin-rok over and suggest we chat together because I get anxious. I wish my vibe was more like everyone else’s.”
Director Yeon Sang-ho also explained the meaning of ‘Gunche’, stating, “It refers to a clustered entity. You can think of it as a term that perfectly describes the zombies in the movie.”
The film is a fantasy zombie movie and will be released in theaters nationwide on May 21.
