Single mom stars are seeing a wave of remarriages!
Kang Sung-yeon shared the news on her SNS on the 11th, stating, “My children and I are starting a new family with a wonderful person.”
She added, “I’ve been cautious because I didn’t want things to get too noisy, which is why I’m speaking up now.” She shared her reflections on being the youngest daughter to parents nearing 80, a mother to two sons born in consecutive years, and a wife in a new family, concluding that “ultimately, the most important thing was my own happiness.”
The shared photos and videos show Kang Sung-yeon spending quality time with her husband. Her husband, who is known to be a doctor, was seen wearing sunglasses with a bright smile.
Earlier this year, Kang Sung-yeon mentioned she was happy after meeting someone who loves her children even more than her. Now, about four months later, she has officially announced her remarriage. Kang Sung-yeon previously married jazz pianist Kim Ga-on in 2012 and had two sons, but the couple divorced in 2022 after 10 years.
Choi Jung-yoon revealed in February that she remarried an entrepreneur who is five years her junior and a sports science major. She shared, “I felt like I needed to break free from the ‘single mom frame.'” She added, “While I had my own opinion about remarrying, my daughter’s opinion accounted for about 70% of the decision. My husband adored my daughter from their first meeting, and she liked him too. Kim Na-young married an entrepreneur in 2015 and had two sons, but announced her divorce in 2019 after four years of marriage. Her ex-husband, Mr. Choi, was arrested on charges of obtaining illegal profits of around 20 billion won by operating an unauthorized futures and options business. At the time, Kim Na-young stated she was unaware of the details of her husband’s business before proceeding with the divorce.
