[Exclusive] Rising Star Bae Kang-hee to Star Alongside Kim Jae-won in Film 'Six Lying College Students'

Bae Kang-hee has already wrapped filming for the movie ‘Six Lying College Students’ (Director Kim Jung-hoon, produced by Covenant Pictures), where she plays Cha Ju-won, one of the six main characters, alongside a cast of trending young actors.

Based on the novel of the same name by author Asakura Akinari, ‘Six Lying College Students’ depicts a fierce psychological game among six applicants in the final interview for a global IT company, where only one will be hired. A Japanese film adaptation was also released in Korea last autumn. Covenant Pictures, the team behind the success of ‘If We’ earlier this year, is producing the film, with NEW handling investment and distribution.

Bae Kang-hee is a rising star who first caught attention with an impressive performance as the young version of school bully Lee Sa-ra (Kim Hieora) in the globally loved Netflix series ‘The Glory’. She has since established herself as a next-generation talent through her unique visuals and solid acting in dramas like ‘Alchemy of Souls’, ‘Somebody’, and ‘Castaway Diva’, as well as films ‘Mantis’ and ‘Mia’. In ‘Six Lying College Students’, she is set to make her commercial cinema debut, acting alongside some of the industry’s hottest stars, including Kim Jae-won, Cho Yi-hyun, Kang Yoo-seok, Shin Seung-ho, and Kwak Dong-yeon. While she appeared in the independent film ‘Mia’ and the Netflix film ‘Mantis’, this will be her first commercial movie to be screened in theaters.

With an exciting acting battle between youth stars on the horizon, ‘Six Lying College Students’ is currently in post-production, though the release date has not yet been determined.
