The first episode of Studio C1’s baseball variety show ‘Fire Baseball 2’, airing on the 4th, will feature a massive wave of applicants!
Among the hopefuls are players who previously worked with Manager Kim Sung-keun at the independent league team Goyang Wonders, as well as passionate applicants promising “salt-like devotion.” In particular, the appearance of Park Yong-taik, the oldest applicant with a legendary career, sends a shockwave through the set.
Park Yong-taik reveals his unique baseball philosophy, claiming “Baseball is my wife,” and tests Manager Kim Sung-keun’s patience with an incredibly long introduction. However, Manager Kim’s unexpected evaluation after watching his batting video leaves everyone stunned.
Manager Kim then moves on to evaluate the pitchers, the “flower of baseball.” With 80 applicants, Manager Kim maintains laser-like focus despite the grueling hours to find a hidden gem. During the sharp evaluations, he stops at one player, bombards him with questions, and sparks anticipation by calling him a “future high-draft candidate.”
After the marathon screening, Manager Kim tells the production team, “See you tomorrow,” leaving them in a state of panic. Returning the next day, Manager Kim surprises the staff with an even colder assessment. After a 12-hour journey spanning two days, the identity of the “Preliminary Fighters” who passed the document screening will be revealed in the broadcast.
