Group FLARE U has shared their heartfelt thoughts on their official debut!
A showcase celebrating the release of FLARE U’s (Choi Lip-woo, Kang Woo-jin) first mini-album “YOUTH ERROR” was held on the afternoon of the 13th at the Blue Square Woori One Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
Choi Lip-woo expressed his excitement, saying, “I was very much looking forward to and thrilled about showing a new side of myself in a group after promoting as a solo artist. Since so many people have cheered me on, I will work hard in all my activities.”
Kang Woo-jin added, “I am so happy and grateful to finally make the debut I’ve always dreamed of. I’m also glad that we could hold this showcase.”
The debut album “YOUTH ERROR” is a record of two youths who make mistakes, fall, and carry their own unique errors. Prior to the album’s release, the duo revealed two versions of concept photos to showcase the diverse faces of youth. In the “Oops!” version, they radiated refreshing energy in twin-style preppy looks, while the “BFF” (Best Friends Forever) version highlighted their fresh charm in a cozy setting.
The title track “WAY 2 U” is a hybrid pop song that blends the glitchy sounds of hyper-pop and the rhythmical groove of plug-and-B over a bouncy pluck riff and upbeat rhythm. The lyrics capture the fluttering excitement of realizing feelings for a friend—triggered by a sudden emotion like a phone vibration—and rushing toward them without hesitation.
